📚✨ Hands-on Learning in Mrs. Hanson’s 3rd Grade Class! ✨📚 Mrs. Hanson’s 3rd graders at Lincoln Elementary have been busy exploring equivalent fractions using fraction tower cubes! 🟩🟧🟦 These colorful manipulatives helped students visually compare fractions, deepen their understanding, and build confidence in their math skills. Learning is always more fun when you can see and touch it! Way to go, 3rd graders!

📢🐾 Exciting Animal Encounter in 1st Grade! 🐾📢 Last week, Jaime Stricker from Bramble Park Zoo visited our 1st graders in the library for a hands-on learning experience! 🦔🐭🦙 Students got to meet some amazing animals with different textures: ✨ Chinchilla – The softest animal in the world! 🛡️ Armadillo – Covered in hard armor for protection. 🦔 Hedgehog – Uses quills to keep predators away! It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the animal kingdom in a fun and interactive way! 🐾💡 Thank you, Jaime & Bramble Park Zoo, for bringing the zoo to us! 🦁📚

🌟 Lincoln Leaders Shine! 🌟 This week, 172 Lincoln Leaders showed kindness, respect, and responsibility in their classrooms and around our school! It’s amazing to see our students leading by example—helping others, using kind words, and making Lincoln a great place to learn and grow. 🪥🦷 February is National Children's Dental Health Month! 🦷🪥 Each February, the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children's Dental Health Month to highlight the importance of good oral hygiene. We are incredibly grateful to Vanlaecken Orthodontics for volunteering their time to check the teeth of our second graders! Their kindness and expertise help promote healthy smiles and lifelong dental habits. 🦷✨ Thank you, Vanlaecken Orthodontics, for your dedication to our students and their health!

This Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Julie Boerhave, the School Engagement Development Director from the American Heart Association, to Jump Start our Kid's Heart Challenge fundraiser! As part of the event, several students received special awards for their amazing efforts in last year’s challenge. 🏅🙌 We couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and heart for helping others. ❤️ We’re thrilled to once again be part of this incredible mission, teaching our students about the importance of heart health while making a difference in the lives of others. Let’s keep the momentum going, Lincoln! 💪💖

🎶✨ Mrs. Ingalls is teaching students how to play the ukulele! The sounds of strumming and singing are filling the music room as students learn new skills and discover the joy of making music. We’re so lucky to have such an amazing and inspiring teacher leading the way! 🎵💛

🍬✨ Sweet Science in Action! ✨🍬 Mrs. Gaikowski’s class had a blast exploring the science behind the meltable properties of different candies! From chocolates to gummies, our young scientists predicted, observed, and recorded how various treats react to heat. 🔥 This hands-on experiment was not only fun but also a great way to learn about states of matter. Who knew science could be so deliciously exciting? 🧪😄 Great job, Mrs. Gaikowski and class, for making learning such a treat! 🍭📚

📅🎉 Happy 100th Day of School! 🎉📅 Mark your calendars: Tuesday, January 28th, is the 100th day of school! We’re so excited to celebrate this milestone with fun activities and creative ways to explore the number 100. Dress-up fun: Students are invited to wear outfits that represent 100 days of school! They can dress as if they’re 100 years old or come up with a creative outfit that includes 100 of something (stickers, pom-poms, buttons—the sky’s the limit!). We can’t wait to see all the amazing ideas and outfits as we celebrate 100 days of learning, growing, and achieving together! 💯
