The forecast in the Lincoln Elementary library was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! Mrs. Schulte captivated students with the whimsical tale of Chewandswallow, a town where food falls from the sky instead of being served on plates. Pancakes, hamburgers, and even spaghetti rain down to feed the townspeopleβ€”until the weather takes a wild turn! Through her storytelling magic, Mrs. Schulte brought this delightful book to life, sparking laughter and curiosity in the students. What a creative way to inspire a love for reading!

🌍🌊 Third Graders Take a Field Trip... in the Classroom! πŸŽ¨πŸ‘©β€πŸ« While we couldn’t go out to explore landforms and bodies of water in person, our third graders used their creativity and imaginations to bring the field trip to us! ✨ They sculpted their own models using clay, including four landform features and four different types of water features. Once their creations were complete, they painted them to bring their landforms and bodies of water to life! πŸ”οΈπŸžοΈπŸ–οΈ This hands-on activity gave our students a fun and engaging way to learn about geography while flexing their artistic skills. 🌟 Second Grade Fun with Science and Creativity! β˜€οΈ Our second graders in Mrs. Schlimgen's class had an exciting time exploring the properties of materials in their latest science lesson! They dove into hands-on learning by examining texture, flexibility, and absorbencyβ€”skills they put to the test in the Mad Hatter Activity! The scenario? The students were stranded on a tropical island 🌴 and had to design and build a hat to protect themselves from the sun, rain, and wind. πŸ§’πŸŒžπŸ’¨ The results were both creative and practical, and the kids had a blast putting their designs to the test! Way to go, second grade! You're not just learnersβ€”you’re designers and problem solvers, too!
